I'M just wondering, like, if there was some sort of

global bank run and no one had access to their money, could they blame it all on cash and use that as a pretext for CBDCs?? If they let some major banks fail, too, they'd have to either write off or call in tonnes of debt, and that would push back against inflation a bit if loads of money got swallowed up into a black hole :P
