of skale correlated with skale token price increase? I’m thinking it is the fact that skale must be paid to rent s chains? But I am wondering if these tokens have to be bought off the market or are just bought from skale members?
The SKALE Network utilizes a Network Load Utilization Curve where if there's far more capacity from nodes than demand, then the SKALE chains will be cheaper for dApps, incentivizing more dApps to join the network. If demand is reaching close to capacity and the network is becoming overloaded from demand from dApps, the SKALE chains become more expensive, and the extra rewards this gives to validators incentivizes them to put up more nodes and for new validators to join—increasing the network capacity. The economics is self-balancing to always be affordable for dApps, rewarding for validators, and providing sufficient capacity for the network. The last part is important, as more nodes = more capacity in the SKALE network, and the Network Load Utilization Curve ensures that the network rewards all participants fairly to bring infinite scalability as demand grows.
Imagine it this way. If you lock tokens for staking and also lock tokens to pay for SKALE chains, and devs are purchasing tokens it creates scarcity.
