its actually like 0.02 % inflation atm, the inflation is basically so they cover their costs + get some profits. its not static at $1, thus the more the UOS price increases the lower the inflation will be

BPs are paid by 1% inflation per year. As there are only 7, this allows you to consume little physical and « financial » energy :)
