I understood:
- VeVe wants to remain mainstream with digital collectables, comics, etc.
- Floor price of collectables do not correlate with Omi token
- Omi utility is still being planned out for the LONG run
- With the current migration from GoChain, Imx and VeVe benefit more than Omi itself
What does this mean? Current burn mechanism has nothing to do with the collectables because Omi isn't being used to "create" the digital art, it's simply used as a medium to buy and sell, which you can use $/gems anyway.
What can positively affect the utility of Omi? After migration, the technical/dev team HAS to figure out a way to incorporate Omi into future collectable releases WITHOUT affecting previous releases.
I'm struggling to understand how project initial investors are get a ROI... Company now making huge money from the collectibles. Why is not reflected in the marketcap for the business which started as ECOMI? Please explain simply how each sale of nft collectable (is it a nft?) is connected to OMI token. And apart from the small staking and market place perks why should I stay invested in ECOMI..?
You are correct, right now VeVe makes money DIRECTLY from the sale of licenced digital assets from brands like Marvel, Pixel, etc. Sale of nft and art is NOT connected to Omi yet. Even I bought Omi thinking I'm buying a digital asset connected to digital art. I have a question if there's any blockchain or cryptography expert on this group can answer. Let's assume Omi becomes a layer on top of Imx, can previous releases NFTs be tied to a minting mechanism that burns Omi? Therefore future releases can also be tied directly to Omi which can be used for minting?
They seriously need to think and cook up some utility because even whats currently planned is nowhere near enough
