It's not as decentralised as cardano. It will never be fully decentralised either. Pretty impossible for payments.
I know, it's not as decentralized. I just want to know how decentralized it is as at all. I also wonder if they stated they don't care about decentralization and if they plan to remain completely/partly centralized and why
Impossible for payments, why is that? If you care to educate me. Or u can just link me to something i should have read
They are decently decentralized and they try to decentralize as much as possible. There are atm around 23 community nodes and counting
because of kyc and the proccess it takes to get accepted/invited for a node. a lot of regulation so many things have to be controlled by coti itself for now. that will change in the future i suppose
We are not fully decentralized. The essence of the structure being partly centralized is to enable us meet as many global regulatory requirements as possible. There are many parts of the system that must be centralized as these are processes we cannot recreate.
Okay, but if one day Cardano pulls of DIDs (decentralized identity declarations) and kyc becomes possible in a decentralized way, COTI would generally be inclined to pursue even greater decentralization? Correct?
Correct, we'll also have more decentralisation features planned overtime
That just what i wanted to hear!
Better we don't know how much? Probably not much at all, therefore possible so many transactions per second
