it affects price now and future for e.g. dTSLA?
as we approach the futureswap time about 45 hours from now, you will see some people trading out of them for dusd so that they can in effect short their positions now. Then they will set up futures on that last hour when they see the next oracle price to contract for 5% over. If it's like 10% over now and you mint the tokens, swap them now for DUSD and wait for the future swap time to do this furtures swap then you can net about 5% gain buy then retiring your loan with the minted tokens you paid 5% less for in the furture swap trade, netting the difference in dUSD profit that you didn't have to pay to rebuy them. so yeah this activity of selling the tokens now will drive down the token prices until the event happens.. longer term hodlers will likely see premiums drop for a couple days and return afterwards. Some think that maybe this will stabilize them closer to the 5% premium, but with the high APR's I have yet to be convinced. Maybe they will. We shall see.
So for a newbie and not holding much. Just hodl and stay put? Would it be a recommended move?
Yeeep. Unless you just want to make this your learning gamble game. 🤡
