This have changed since the migration for decentralized mirror happened. You would need a delisting poll before the actual event, the price at delisting event will determine the end price of the asset so that you can burn them. Then a separate poll would be needed to register a new asset at the split price

So technically what happens if we can’t get a delisting vote to pass? At the moment governance polls are at the mercy of whales + it is hard to reach the 18% quorum. More precisely… let’s say Amazon trades at 2000 USD on June 3 when the 20:1 stock split occurs. On June 6 it starts trading at 100 USD following the stock split. If mAMZN has not been delisted before June 6, will the Oracle Feeder states that the oracle price is 100 USD on June 6 when the market opens although it would be for a non-split mAsset? That’s concerning to me and I think the situation needs to be clear so the community can act accordingly.

Yes you are right about it. Technically, the poll not passing will cause feeds to give prices that are at split prices, so people who holds AMZN positions and did not vote can be liquidated when the price goes from 2000 to 100

Damn. Thanks for taking the time I’ll create a thread on the forum so we can discuss about it and talk about a timeline for a proposal. That being said, my understanding is that it will not trigger liquidations. To the contrary the C-ratio of everyone will just go through the roof. Then people will just withdraw their excess collateral. Can you elaborate for whom you think this may trigger liquidations?

You could use mAMZN as collateral, so there's a chance for liquidation there

That’s a good point. For people long farming/delta neutral I guess if this happens then their CDP will not be liquidated but their overall LP position will reduce in value.

is it the same thing for a stock split? do we know what price the Oracle feeder would use as price if a stock split were to occur and we cannot reach quorum in a governance poll to delist the old mAsset and re-list the post-split mAsset (if we need a governance poll for that)
