network except for the pool?
Maybe you know any other place where i can lend or stak it with good apy?
Are pools very risky?
Are the APY‘s counted on how much is your crypto worth is usd while getting rewards or is only the number of crypto considered?
Not risky, but you need to read up on impermanent loss the amount of USDX and Luna you get back may be different (more Luna and less USDX or the other way around) The pool APY helps cancel this out to some extent over time
If you supplied $10,000 of assets ($5,000 of USDX and $5,000 of OSMO) for example then if nothing changed after 12 months you would have earned $17,000 worth of SWP rewardes based on the 170% APY figure based on the current SWP token price
Considering putting 15k worth of Bitcoin into the liquidity pool - thoughts?
Certainly not a bad move It is one of the lower paying pools at just under 100% APY You would either need to swap $7500 of the BTC to USDX or obtain USDX from elsewhere You could look at minting USDX with BTC
Or I am thinking about converting all my Bitcoin to kava
Not the right time bitcoin is at critical dominance position if it breaks high all alts will suffer wait a bit
What if osmo goes down for example?
If the OSMO price goes down the pool readjusts to maintain the 50/50 split by value (as do your assets), so if OSMO fell then you would have moe OSMO and less USDX. Read up on impermanent loss
Can you you please explain impermanent loss briefly? I have now supplied luna and usdx. I should be getting 118% apy. Does the luna price affect the apy or not?
If the price is that you remove your assets at differs from price you supplied at the combined value of thiose assets will be lower than if you hadn't supplied to the pool If the price of LUNA falls you will have more Lune and Less USDX and vice versa if ti rises Here is an idea of the expected 'loss' compared to simple holding 1.25 times the price change = 0.6% impermanent loss 1.50 times the price change = 2.0% impermanent loss 1.75 times the price change = 3.8% impermanent loss 2 times the price change = 5.7% impermanent loss 3x price change = 13.4% impermanent loss 4x price change = 20.0% impermanent loss 5x price change = 25.5% impermanent los The Pool APY does counteract some or all of that over the longer term The APY is not directly related to the yield
Even if big price changes happen? For example if luna goes up 100%? What will happen then?
