The more people use it the thicker the liquiditty becomes. Unfortunately that is inevitable. But as long as it is not listed on trading platforms and liquidiity increases "organically" (from use), the increase should not completely kill the price appreciation.

There's a balance between APY and ROI due to the decentral banking aspect of HEX code. When the APY decreases it indirectly causes ROI to increase and vice versa.
