As an investor I'm hoping for a bounce but I'm

not really expecting it. I think UST needs to be killed. The only way to continue would be to make a UST2, but what's to prevent this from happening again?
A mere vision of a new UST with the same algorithm isn't going to be enough to spark investor interest.
Additonally, retailers have taken a huge hit, and are not coming back to build any day soon, at least not most of them.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up nicely. Who's going to put money into Luna to re-build now? I bet many won't even come back to crypto at all

from what I am reading, terra became like Iron, coz they failed to create adoption. Adoption would have meant that businesses would have poured constantly money in Terra (by buying UST). With that money, the rewards, that incentiviced holding of Luna would have been funded. Holding Luna would have meant Luna is scarce (valuable) and therefore suitable to pay the small profits for arbitrage makers.
