I'Ve staked some BNT on bancor V3 and received vBNT

I'Ve staked some BNT on bancor V3 and received vBNT

in my wallet. all of the information on bancor.network seems to indicate that I should also receive bnBNT in my wallet, however when reviewing mine or any "deposit and join" transaction on etherscan this doesn't seem to be true. the bnBNT tokens get sent to the BNT contract but never to the address that stakes and receives vBNT. since the information states that these bnBNT tokens are necessary to unstake it would seem important to have them sent to the address that staked. surely I must be misinterpreting something, can someone explain this to me? perhaps there is another step required in order to receive the bnBNT tokens?
