Well there's other options to stake hex that exist now if you prefer to have it liquid. But if you are investing money you can't afford to lose to begin with, that's that person's fault, not a flaw in the design of hex.

I understand which option are you referring to. I’m not saying there’s a fault on Hex’s design. I’m saying it’s a real financial choice to have 18% cash APY or 38% non cash APY. That’s the whole point of Rational Decision making tools like NPV. Which option is best, will depend on your personal discount rate.
