mail (marketing) one guy who I know in a group chat claiming the hexicans got his address from a ledger hack. Is this possible? Would hexicans use wrongly acquired info for marketing purposes? Not a good look for the whole bullshit scam narrative

If he has a claim, have him back it up.

Thats one possibility, though its anonymous, there is no marketing department, so its not "HEX". Also be aware there is a grass roots community effort that is sending post cards out all over the country in the form of post cards. This is more of a blanket approach to wealthy zipcodes

You never know where this stuff will crop up. Meaning there could be Hexicans in the UK, Australia, etc. doing the same. BUT yes I believe the original letter may have been sent to a mailing list thats on the net.

It's egregious enough that if he's saying it, he needs to prove it. This isn't conjecture, he's making a direct claim. If he can't back it up, it's bullshit.

If you're still waiting, he's full of crap. That's not to say he doesn't believe it - perhaps he convinced himself that was the case, and that's fine. But if he wants to spew it on public forums we (that is, any hexican seeing same) should challenge him for proof. If he can't provide solid evidence of the claim, he needs to retract.

Yeah it’s more a case of I’m trying to push hex into these guys (some of them mates) in this private chat. None of them trust it and think it’s just gonna eventually become nothing. They also just can’t trust Richard cos they are too small minded to see past his outrage marketing

Yes there has been people reporting that on reddit. I do not know what goes in people’s mind to think that it is ok to do. Totally unethical if you ask me and you are casting a bad light for all the community. There are also templates available for cold marketing (sending mail etc..) for more legit marketing.

The Ledger customer addresses are now public domain. May not be a nice thing to send commercials using them, but not sure about it being unethical. I think it was more than just ine Hexican doing it. One even sent emails.
