is a reward to incentive staking..? In the general markets what is the appeal for people to Hodl Hex.. who aren't Hex stakers?

Price speculation. If you consider the strength of having a holding staker class of 10% or more, the longevity of the token is more sound than one that has none. That being said, adding the ability to stake and earn more of the token through cycles creates even more incentive to hold Hex longer.
