Question

So I had an issue with my safe pal software

wallet . Both transactions where listed and received . I sent an email to SafePal support from within my wallet . They emailed me back asking what exchange I sent it to ,what was the token and the txid . Does this sound legit? Can they steal anything from my exchange if I provide this info ? Thanks

Every optimistic rollup L2 uses a challenge mechanism in their withdrawal process. In Godwoken v1, L1 puts the withdrawal into a challenge period (~7 days) after you initiated the withdrawal request, waiting for observers or challengers to report problems. The withdrawal can be approved only when no challenge is submitted. L1 guarantees that every withdrawal is intact and that the funds kept on L2 are safe in this way. Not only Godwoken, other optimistic rollups like arbitrum and optimism also have such a challenge period, e.g. Arbitrum mandates a 7-day challenge period during a withdrawal. https://docs.godwoken.io/faq

That is very odd you are seeing no send verifications even though your assets were transferred successfully. Definitely give safepal support your tx ID and let them look into it 👍

Yes, all Optimistic Rollups, including Godwoken, have a challenge period between 1 week and 2 weeks.

Godwoken is the L2 - Nervos decided to implement a 7 day challenge period for godwoken transactions in order to keep it sufficiently secure. Shorter period = less secure, longer = more secure.. It's compromise every chain has to make when allowing roll-ups to settle on layer 1

That is safe, a tx ID or hash, wallet address, those things are not vulnerable. Private information like passwords and seed phrases should never be shared. Also, I have used safepal hot wallet/with hardware together. What is your issue?
