hit y'all up with an official update, but I wanted to take a few minutes to write my own update.
I understand there's some concern from the community around how quickly iExec is moving. I can point to all the things we've done this year as proof we're taking your feedback seriously and implementing changes, but we've had this convo before.
It seems like the big concerns are:
- The length of time it's taking to get working products
- The products being released are "betas"
- No international hiring
- What seems to be a lack of direction around product releases and iExec's direction
As a Community Manager, I've taken this feedback and relayed it to Nelly. She's working with Gilles and Co. to incorporate this into a strategy that will hopefully appease the broader community. We plan on communicating this to you all soon. How soon? I don't have an answer to that question.
What I can tell you is that I'm advocating for what the community deems important. I wish I knew how to code or that I could hire out a bunch of devs. But at the very least, the team is aware of these areas where we can improve. Based on the fact that we have improved in other areas, I'm sure we can do the same here - especially with Johan implementing his strategy.
The next few months are going to be important for iExec. If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, concerns, etc - drop them here. Or you can always DM me.
Thanks for the update!!
All you can do. Thanks. 🙏👍
You got it.
Does iexec have developers planning to launch on the side chain?
Or is there a problem with getting developers at this point?
