on the call, what is the difference between carbon an a two really tight curves on Uniswap v3?
Also are there plans for it to help with bancor v3’s deficits, is it going to collect fees… each trade…?
Hi, Mach! The entire goal of Carbon is to generate fees to apply toward alleviating the deficit. https://gov.bancor.network/t/introducing-carbon-an-update-to-the-bancor-dao-and-community/4156
I don't believe your first question was answered. Trades on Uniswap v3 are reversible, whereas on Carbon they're irreversible. Each buy is not just cancelled out with an equal buy in other words. Your liquidity is rotating from one adjustable bonding curve to another one it's linked to. Truly buying low and selling higher with zero IL. And on Uni, in addition to other AMMs, changing your position would require unstaking and restaking. On Carbon the parameters you set can be easily and instantly adjusted without having to unstake and restake.
