We represent several larger entities in the US and Coti represents a high-risk portion of their portfolios. People with a lot of money don’t like losing a lot of money or not getting dividends or rewards. This is where I ask Coti to help itself. We talk with other institutions. Coti or other small caps will not be heavily leveraged if there’s zero participation in rewards from the US side of it. They’ll just zoom out and invest in a more US friendly small cap. Again Coti isn’t the only shop in town

Indeed... Why didn't you shop on those other shops in town? It sounds as those highly wealthy investors did not know the APY offered by coti... Or even worst like their advisor (you?) didn't pay attention to what now seems to be such a big deal for them...

I can promise you several million represents a very small portion of a portfolio like this. Thus it doesn’t kill me or them to move from Coti. It’s more of me just participating and being honest from an institution’s PoV

The APY wasn’t even the original narrative. That’s why it wasn’t a big deal then. When you’re down 60% on this side of things, the APY becomes at least “something” to sell to your clients

So in the positive, f*ck the apy. When in negative, blame coti for not getting apy on your funds🥲🥲🥲

I understand now... The issue is basically that the advisor made a bad invement decission or, to put it in other words, that the investment did not perform as the "advisor" promised to his clients.... Now the "advisor" needs to get back to the client and explain (sell its decission) to the client and explain him that the little irrelevant amount invested went down 60%... Even though the amount 8s peanuts for the investor the "advisor" knows that he will probably not get paid and that, even worst, that he probably will be fired (or not hired ever again).... Been the situation like that, indeed it would have been nice to have higher APY from Coti... (specially considering that the client is a wealthy investor, and is not like the rest lowlife investors that are investing here).... Just joking but it does not sound reasonable

Lol. Yeah, not exactly that. But I don’t mind the tough love. That’s not how it went down. APY was never the pitch, it’s still not, it’s just the only value in Coti currently. That could change in 2-3 months, but the exchange lockup and other staking opps was at least something to dangle. Those are now gone
