The major difference between them is the fact that Chainlink is built on Ethereum, whereas Band is Cosmos based and has her own bandchain. This is important since different blockchains have different features, and are used for different kinds of projects. Speed and cost of obtaining data are both key here. To explain this better, let’s say that you have a dApp whose smart contract communicates with Chainlink in order to receive external data, the dApp will sent a request for information and pay for it with ETH, which will then be converted to LINK. This conversion has to happen because nodes are paid in LINK tokens for providing data, but this is also where the problem emerges. ETH has a lack of scalability and low throughput, which results in long waiting periods, or even worse – insane high fees.
If this is true ? How many people know about this ? This sounds very interesting and better than LINK. I think this should be a pinned message in bands Twitter and there should be constant discussion around this scope to make it reach more mainstream audiences. Thoughts ?
Hey Kishore, our priority is to have our significant announcement pinned to our handle. However, you're welcome to initiate a separate tweet or thread for users to engage in a constructive discussion.
