are losing money, paying out of pocket to keep baseledger running. Transactions are no where near the level needed to be profitable due to this several are shutting down and inturn making baseledger more centralized. Is this a concern for unibright and or the baseledger council? Is there anything unibright or baseledger council can do to encourage node operators to stay and even attract new ones
Paying node operators the fees for the nodes directly is a form of centralization...my idea was to have a hackathon in which the usage for the hackathon in baseledger was paid for as a part of the ongoing event and led to a larger prize (25/50k$)...as competitors compete the baseledger transactions woild increase and offset some of the node operator cost as transactions increase which are paid for by the hosts of the event...it's not a perfect idea or a long term solution but just an example of bringing productive ideas over complaints to the conversation
Yea thats a great idea, i remember you bringing it up couple of months back, did you get any feedback from that team on this?
No but I didn't post in here til now...I don't know better than them either, I just think that presenting alternatives or creative ideas is a better conversation starter...but def empathize with the node operators...let's work on productive feedback instead of pitchforks though
Fair comment, i started all pitchforky but thats due to my message been deleted
