Hello KAVA team, i would like to know about the vesting

period for claiming reward for lending USDT.
today is 2023-Aug-01, i tried to claim and can see vesting period 12months and the day to receive reward is 2024-Aug-15

i wonder if i continue supply without claiming it till 2024-Aug-01, how much time do i need to wait for claiming lending USDT reward?

so if i lend 1year i will need to wait for another year to claim full reward ?

No, if you supply today and continue for 1 year you would be claiming regularly (at least twice per month) then your rewards would start unlocking in 12 months from now with unlocks on 1st and 15th of each month

Any tokens claimed between today and 15th Aug will unlock on 15th Aug 2024, then claims between 15th Aug and end of August will unlock on 1st Sept 2024, giving you rolling unlock dates

Yes As soon as you claim them you can stake them so they are then earning 16% APR in liquid staking rewards

Many claim on the last day of the month and 14th of the month (or before 2pm UTC on the 15th), but if it's large amounts it can be worth doing it more regularly to get them earning staking rewards asap

ah nice suggestion. but i wonder if claiming reward from lidquid staking will have 2 opts vesting for 12mons/vesting 1mon like lending or not

Standard staking (which is the only option for vesting Kava) you earn non-vesting liquid Kava Only Kava Earn with boosted rewards has a vesting period - This is not an option for staking of vesting rewards

I am staking, but can I do anything with the vesting tokens, such as compounding them while they sit for 12mths? Just looking at the chat history on the topic, so yes I am doing KAVA earn with boosted rewards I believe, with the 12mths vesting period, I can't do anything with them until they finish the vesting period yes?

Yes, once you have claimed them you can stake them either direct through your wallet Keplr, Trust Wallet or Cosmostation or via the Kava Web App on this page https://app.kava.io/kava-staking

As soon as you start earning you can start claiming and start staking to earn 16% APR in liquid staking rewards on top

There is no time limitation to claim your rewards. However, once you make a claim, these vesting periods will always be either one month or twelve months.
