supply from your explorer (404972538.509 HIVE), I'm assuming that is the total supply, should the circulating be the same?

I would consider "circulating supply" to be Total Hive minus DHF Hive minus Vesting Fund. That amount currently is 186,464,263.029

condenser_api.get_dynamic_global_properties will get you both the current_supply and total_vesting_fund_hive
