Is it rational for miner to mine ergo even if

it is unprofitable? Isnt it more rational to mine profitable coin sell it and buy ergo instead? I get that some miners want to support chain and i am grateful for them

It depends on your situation and goals. For some it makes sense to spec-mine and hodl. Many are just selling for btc / fiat unfortunately. I wish everyone would just stop selling and hodl. Not sure if it will happen soon though.

That’s what I keep saying. It’s more rational to mine something more profitable and buy Erg with the rewards. Except you want support the network and/or accumulate without fiat on-ramps
