be used in the US? I thought I read they were, but when i tried to actually make an account I struck out.
Why don't you read the terms of service? Both MEXC and KuCoin can and do terminate accounts and steal all assets if you are caught giving false information. They are obviously both illegal for US residents. "9. Up to now, MEXC has refused the trade or registration application from the users in the following countries: North Korea, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, Iran, Crimea, Mainland China, Indonesia, Singapore, Venezuela, the United States, Canada (altogether referred to as 'Prohibited Countries'). The list of Prohibited Countries may not be exhaustive and is subject to review by MEXC at any time and from time to time. You hereby undertake to inform us immediately if you are or become a resident in any of the Prohibited Countries or are aware of any User based in any of the Prohibited Countries. You understand and acknowledge that if it is determined that you have given false representations of your location or place of residence, we reserve the right to take any appropriate actions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including termination of any Account immediately and liquidating any open positions."
