then how will CCIP be scalable given what happens to Ethereum gas fees when network congestion increases? Thank you!
Chainlink on fantom and other networks is better than Ethereum
Chainlink is live on over 15 blockchain
For CCIP specifically, it doesn't have to go via Ethereum
Okay, so the cost of using chainlink is in the control of the project?
Well they can choose which blockchains to use CCIP with. Chainlink then charges a fee for using their service: "Fee payment premiums for CCIP Messaging will be a flat fee per message, while fees for using CCIP to enable token transfers will be a percentage of the value transferred. CCIP fees also include gas cost overhead. The premium portion of fees paid in alternative assets will have a surcharge of 10% versus LINK payments. Current CCIP premium fees are in line with industry standards within the cross-chain ecosystem, although these values are subject to change."
Thank you for this! I am interested in knowing what currency/coin/token will the flat fee be denominated in...USD?
