XXX --ledger
I'm starting to use the CLI but it always gives me an error with the above command (like the ledger is not connected but it is connected)
The error is: "Error: failed to generate ledger key: failed to retrieve device: ledger nano S: hidapi: failed to open device"
It doesn’t see your ledger
Actually I am wrong. It does see the device since it says ledger nano s
Probably a permission error...I'll try to figure out later on
Ok, solved. I added a .rules file in /etc/udev/rules.d
Try this: kava keys add wallet_name --ledger --algo=secp256k1 --coin-type=118 Replace wallet_name by a name of your choice.
No, there was a permission error...I've figured it out. By the way I've succeeded to connect the ledger on kava side (with the ledger atom app, to be clear) but do you know if there's the possibility to do the same on kava evm side? I've tried the Kava keys add test --ledger --ethereum But it doesn't work because it seems that CLI doesn't recognize the ledger Ethereum app
As far as I know, the Kava CLI cannot connect to the the Kava EVM side. Tried that, too. But without success.
Ok, what a pity...thanks for the reply 👍
Maybe someone else knows a way.
Maybe on the discord group of the EVM protocols you can get an answer. Devs are very active there and they could know.
I don't have (and I don't like 😁) discord. I'll try to figure it out by myself, no worries 👍
Me too. Wonder how people prefer Discord over Telegram
I don't like Discord myself
Do you know what is the "reward factor" in: Kava query incentive rewards --owner kava1xxx
