of last week.
1) AMA?
Yes, the team may do an update of overall direction for the community. I am raising it to the team. It could be a Twitter Spaces or in text form.
2) New roadmap?
Unfortunately, I can’t give any dates for public communications, but the team is working hard internally on updating both corporate and product roadmaps - in some ways could look more optimistic than previous internal versions as the team has grown significantly since the beginning of the year (3 new team member joining this week!). Know that we’ll keep the community posted on any public roadmap updates, but it may take some time.
3) Update on Intel TDX plans?
For TDX, I asked and iExec has completed the first test phase of the test window Intel provided us. We cannot work with it further for now. We will share more when we have something concrete (I know you don’t like us talking about things too soon), but noted that you’re interested in hearing more about how it is going. Hopefully we can work with Intel more on that in future.
4) Plans to focus on AI more?
For those who are not familiar, the main use case for iExec related to AI, is not pure computing power to “run” AI models.
Rather, iExec’s confidential computing can be used to monetize (‘rent out’) valuable datasets, such as trained AI models. The AI models (datasets) are protected, and unaccessible, during processing - thanks to blockchain + confidential computing tech. This opens up opportunities for monetization.
We will continue to push that like we have in articles, videos and demoing it at events.
5) Update on Rollups?
- I’ll check with the team. iExec has had a few interns and PhD students working on subjects like this.
Hi Blair, don’t mean to pressure you, but any idea when you will have answers to the outstanding questions? And what’s the planned timing for the plan you guys are putting together re the community. Can’t wait for this place to be vibrant again!
For Rollups, iExec is likely not going to be doing much with them. The person I asked said there has been no significant work on them recently.
