Monero node using CLI, and need to use an SSD as the computer I am using for the node does not have enough memory.
I have downloaded and unzipped the files from the getmonero site for Linux64's Monero CLI
The next step seems to be directing monerod to the place where the monero blockchain will be stored, and I need to use the SSD I have connected to the computer, but I can't see the contents so I don't know the path, or how to add it.
How can I access or mount the drive to review its contents or direct the monerod to deposit the blockchain there?
you can sync on an ssd, then move it to an hdd
How do I do that?
you plan to runn it on a separate machine ? there are people running it on an RPI...
move the directory, and tell the node where it will find the database/blockchain
I have an old laptop that I'm using, but it only has 128G memory, so I have an SSD with 500GB I want to use for the storage.
yes, hard drive is 128GB
you could pull the ssd it has, and put the 500GB ssd in ?
I have 8G memory, 128G hard drive, and am using a 500G SSD to store the blockchain. The SSD is external.
