No, they are not gone! Your funds are safe. Please it's important to stay vigilant, no ADMIN or TEAM members here will initiate a private DM with you to resolve any issues. If you experience such, please kindly report and block such account/person.
To clarify things a bit: There is a known issue with the Casper network that sometimes delegating and maybe also redelegating does not work because of a bug. That will be fixed with 1.5.3 which should hit MainNet in maybe 2 weeks or so (not an official estimate, just my guess). It can also happen that when you redelegate that the new validator is full when the 14-16h are over so it will fail -> it will NOT reserve your slot. Casper Dash is a 3rd party wallet and I think they are based in Vietnam + it's Sunday so it could just take some time until someone will answer. So your funds are not gone - you maybe need to choose another validator when the validator is full.
Thanks for the indept information, if the validort is full which I received my funds back to the account balance or will it keep pending or will it go back to the previous validator then I will have to undelegate again? I never knew Casper Dash was a third party wallet and then my guess would be that it's not secure if its Third party, will place or method so you recommend to stake CsPR?
If the validator is full your CSPR will be available in your wallet and you can simply try another validator you like. I think this happens within a short time like 2 or 3 minutes. Casper Dash is software like everything else so nobody can tell you if it's 100% secure - most probably it has it's issues as well but at least I'm not aware of any security problems. Generally it doesn't really matter if it's 3rd party or "official" - strictly speaking even Casper Wallet is a 3rd party wallet because it's developed by MAKE and not by the developers of the network and CasperLabs. It depends on the developers and how much experience they have and if they follow security best practices etc. Even audits are no guarantee since you would need to audit every update again because the code changed and could introduce issues.
Thank very much for the information, do you think staking through ledger might be the safest way, what you do you think? I saw the option when I was browsing to buy hardware wallet not sure if it will add another security layer using ledger🤔
You can stake with ledger, it's one of the wallet we recommend as well. You can read through the guide here. https://docs.casperlabs.io/users/ledger-setup/
It's all your choice... Ledger is also 3rd party and has the Ledger Recovery option which a lot of people don't like as well. I know, sounds all negative but it's always a choice between security and comfort and what suits your needs. Whatever you're using make sure you have a proper backup 😊
