The licences will have to be renewed annually and locked up for another 12 months. This will be at the new quant price. So for example if the price of the token doubled they would only need to lock up have as many. The licence will still have the same dollar value. The token is required for a lot more stuff. There is about 8 or more different utilities. I'm sure you can find out what these all are if you google it on an image search

QNT is needed for all network activities. As I understood QNT provides a form of digital security on the network. How it exactly works I don't know as I'm not capable to comprehend this technology. After the QNT is released it will most likely be locked again due to renewal of the license. I am sure someone else can give a better answer than I can 😅
