USDL is probably the stand-out feature. How to market that

to banish mistrust of a new kind of stablecoin mechanism?

By not being a “Stablecoin”, it is a gas coin.

Yeah. I guess the USP is that it will be the only gas coin pegged to 1$

Yeah I see, it could vary somewhat more I suppose

Many networks (not all) suffer by using the native token as gas, and the price of the native token increasing … we’ve all seen this with ethereum

1 Usdl is to be worth $1.00 worth of transactions

A smart friend of mine ;) explained usdl like this: What makes it special is it’s NOT pegged to a dollar. It’s not a stable coin. It’s a gas token that equals 100 transaction with "similarities of a dollar and 100 pennies or 1 cent transaction fees" Not being a stable coin is what keeps him legit. Whether its 3 cents or $1.30 cents, it’s still 100 transactions.

I don't need 100 000 000 transactions. I need my USDL to be 1:1 to USDT.

I like that explanation, my understanding is that 1 usdl will be worth $1 worth of transactions , not necessarily 100 transactions (although this would be amazing), it is how I read it and understood it here 👇🏼

me too. What gets tricky is understanding how stable USDL will be around the 1$ mark.

This doesnt work at all for me. If usdl would sit around 0.03$ what have people staked for with "28% apy" the whole ecosystem in the future should be fundet by usdl . How can this work if you stake for 28% but its only worth a couple pennys

So $1 worth of transaction regardless if it costs $1, $0.03, or $1.30. At some point what it costs will equal what it's worth in transactions. It only takes NOT accepting less than $1 for it, and it becomes a dollar again. It's the jeets that will accept $.50 that keeps it from being $1. In due time, after jeets do their thing, we will finally stabilize at $1.

It's still worth $1 worth of transactions. You are the one selling it for .03. If everyone sells it for what it's worth then it's worth $1

Yes, love the mechanisms behind USDL where 1 usdl is to be worth $1 dollar worth of transactions, be it 100 transactions or 4 transactions, I believe I read somewhere where the average of the nodes will be taken to produce the Usdl

No idea on transactions but once the network is pumping out transactions, the demand to buy USDL for Gas will be increasing! That's for certain!
