Seems a bit harsh to say, doesn't it? I do think it's usually better to keep things current to avoid big problems later. Lets agree on that. However, it's pretty common to stick with a version for a while and not update right after it's released. New versions often come with issues or things that don't work with the old stuff. I don't have any inside info, but I've already let the developers know about this.
