is to stop wild fluctuations? You can't have wild fluctuations, or?
This goes back to the comment about adoption and use cases.
The way I personally understand it is that Usdl will be worth $1.00 worth transactions / server fees … whether that be 100 transactions, or 25 transactions, 4, or simply 1… No matter what, 1 Usdl will be worth $1 worth of transactions (server fees) …
But you absolutely can't say that if it's worth 2$ on exchanges. I that moment transaction fees double in my mind. I'm, not understanding what balancing factors there will be.
Anybody can buy it for whatever they want, it is an open market, what matters is what you’re able to redeem it for.
There's a factor about what it's being traded for vs. what it's designed when used as a gas fee on the network.
OK yes, this would be the case in the case of a federal reserve with executive power over the whole financial system. When they say this is worth a dollar, then this worth a dollar. But we won't have that. If it's worth 2$ on the open market, then that is what I can redeem it for. You can't just go and say, well on the LGCY network it's only worth 1$, can you?
I could, because if I’m transacting on the network, and need USDL … 1 Usdl will be worth $1 -worth- of transaction fees. To me it won’t matter what it is being traded for, it is the value I’m getting on the network.
OK, I see, so basically you are saying because of this fact that the open market will find it's way to the true value redeemable on the network
Yes … I don’t want to overpay, but don’t mind underpaying though.
OK, that does make sense in a way.
I think that actually set me straight dude, many thanks
Agreed. It's great to have JR's comments and input in these discussions.
