and getting some apy. Do i still need to register a tax document to my country for the apy. Or do i only need to do that when i transfer or sell my holdings. Or is this a more of a kind of question, that ill need to figure out for myself? . (Im from belgium)
that is country specific, you would have to contact an accountant or look it up on your countries tax administration website
Totally depends on how your country’s laws are tbh. Perhaps other community members can help you with this. As for koinly, it only takes into consideration the rewards you withdraw and not the current accrued rewards for tax purposes.
Belgium is a bit behind when it comes to a clear legal framework for crypto. For indiviuals it depends highly on how your trading activity is classified by the tax authorities. If it is regarded as simple management of a private assets it will be excempt from income tax. However if your activities in crypto are considered speculative, a flat tax of 33% applies. So it would be really good to have your taxes done professionaly as it really depends how your activitiy is classified. So a specialized tax accountant would very helpful.
Yes i did read that to and watched videos about it, its not wise to day trade, and better just invest in a long term, also dont writdrawl it all at once, do it slowly.... But yes ill will ask about soon, anyway thanks
just move to a country where it doesnt tax crypto, and cash out there 😂🌭
Doesn‘t work either. Most countries have an exit rtax when you move abroad. In that case you have to tax all the assets you own as if you had sold them all the day you move. 🙈
Are we back in the dark ages of Feudalism? It is like a form of slavery 🤬
Also doesn’t work for Americans as they are taxed by virtue of citizenship on worldwide income.
