know polkadot is a proof of stake network - so is moonbeam - as polkadot is famous for its shared security my question is - does the staking of Glmr tokens also add to the security of the chain? And if yes how? Are parachains double as safe as other proof of stake networks as they have the security of polkadot and their respective layer 1 proof of stake system?
hey DC, relay chain validators responsible for consensus. this means we benefit from the security, finality, and latency offered by relay chain. so, collators in general are not responsible for security, they pass transition proofs to relay chain for validation and finalization
