mind. It's threw me because its packaged up as en exe (for Windows). I had the mindset that currently, you could only run a happ either via Holo (hosted) or via Holochain Launcher. This young chap who has made Converge and Who's in. Has he made his app in Rust?? and complied it for Windows so it bootstraps onto Holochain network?
well FT is standalone too
There are a lot out there. If you know where to look. Lightning rod labs has a collection of around 10 happs. I use Acorn and that is p2p. Only you and people you share your project with are able to hold project data. Other happs on the holochain launcher run in the same fashion, but how the data is shared is a bit different. If you leave the network id (I think it is that one) blank then you are going to join the default network. Take MewsFeed. It can be run on the launcher or a standalone happ that has been created. It is hosted by the users who are using it. That is why if you are the only person online then you get no data. Don't quote me but, elemental chat and chess was run/hosted on the holoports. So if FT. If a developer wanted to create a happ and run it on some part of the current holoport network they may be able to depending on what the devs are doing with it. As for the Converge happ I would have to read more about it to check if it is only p2p. (I am 95% sure but I don't 100% know) I hope this answers some of your questions about this.
