Replaced by ipfs frontends
does the old functionality that showed payouts still exist?
There is something new in the pipeline. For now, the exact same go.hex can be run locally or over one of those ipfs sites. I haven't take a look tbh but it should be there.
do you do this by running hex-server.exe?
I use a Mac so no exe for me.
I'm confused. The IPFS sites at go.hex.com all produce "Dangerous Webpage Blocked" errors. And Windows defender won't allow me to run hex-sever.exe. Did you download a mac app from go.hex.com, and does that local app look like the old dapp which had the daily payouts?
HEX can't be turned off. There are numerous independently maintained HEX frontends: Ethereum network: go.hex.com | app.icosa.pro | go.tshare.app | apphex.win | backuphex.com | hexmob.win | staker.app | etherscan.io | IPFS link Pulsechain network: app.icosa.pro | apphex.win | hexmob.win | staker.app | go.tshare.app | backuphex.com | IPFS link For more details see hexicans.info/hex-smart-contract
Feel free to use apphex.win it has been around for a long time and works for both chains
I suppose. Just a shame to lose valuable functionality. Old stuff worked great, why change?
The old frontend is still there, just hosted more robustly as it is now finally on IPFS as it should have been since the beginning. But 4 years ago the IPFS technology was still in it's beginnings.
