Firstly, why are we accepting this veil of political implicit coercion in what should be seen as a non consenting voting system. Having not had a say in the vote question in the first place.

Coti is not decentralised and as such we have no full transparency as to what outcome is truly legitimate without any shadow of a doubt. As wallet transparency is not public.

In my opinion, the community is being coerced onto a path leading only to subversion. Blinded by the illusion of the promise of wealth and power. The only wealth and power comes from true decentralised transparency which this sadly is not.

As such there is no correct vote. As anything deviating from a perceived ideal course has been seen in the past to be changed by the voice of a few under the guise of “the community has spoken and we the “masterful” have listened” rhetoric.

With the scraps from which I’m seeing my fellow Cotian deliberate over, IMO abstinence is truly the only logical choice.

This vote will define us in many more ways than what appears at stake.

Personally, I’m sad to have seen the rise and acceptance of gCoti as something I ever participated in.

If there’s no reversal on gCoti than I only hope with every vote there be an option to vote to abstain and a vote to abolish gCoti.

I agree with some of what you said, The fact is that true governance only comes when you can actually choose what you are voting for. What we have been given so far is a hybrid type of governance. This is the first governance vote, so let's cut the team a little slack as they find their feet. As for the parts about true decentralization and lack of transparency. Coti has always been a hybrid chain, and with that comes both public and private txs. There is a ton I would like to see the team be less opaque about, and I've posted it many times on this channel. You can, of course, abstain, as you state in your post, but the vote will go ahead either way and by abstaining, you lose your say in the outcome. Yes, you make a point, but unless the abstinence is massive, it won't even be noticed. Giving a separate option of abstaining could be a choice in future votes as a way to demonstrate displeasure, but again, the vote still most likely goes ahead. Nice post and good points.

I am not a greedy person I am happy with the current gCOTI to COTI 1 to 1 as long as the overall project doesn't suffer and current holders and new investors

I agree with your thoughts and it made me feel uncomfortable too I wonder if the community was able to vote on proposals they considered worthy. could be done monthly or quarterly- proposals are generated and everyone is able to vote on the issue they would like the community to decide on. so this month someone could have suggested revising gcotis apy another suggested gcoti ratio for max boost is revised another suggests a portion of fees gets given to charity and so on. further votes take place after deciding the issue to bring to community voting Now we could be overrun by proposals. We could have a community selected council to help weed out the irrelevant, or we allow free will of the community to decide on a topic a month for example.
