BR please... we are so late 😔
We are not rushing this - as I said above, regarding crypto regulations: https://t.me/ecomi/1170162
We have been waiting for more than 3 years for utilities, new exchanges, for the road map to change every year, etc. Things that have been said and promised since 2021.. It's very hard to keep faith with the token IMO... You could possibly be more transparent about the work that is being done behind the scenes to reassure your community. 🙁
Your feedback has been passed on, but as is evident from what you’ve said - and Rhys has mentioned before - premature announcements have caused problems - the crypto landscape changes rapidly and the team prefer to make announcements when they have something concrete to announce. We are still working through changing regulatory requirements, as are our connected partners.
How are OMI > NFT / OMI > Tickets etc. problematic? We are in web3 right? 🤷🏻♂️
For example, OMI to NFT involves converting crypto to an asset that can be sold and those gems paid out to fiat currencies, so there are fiduciary regulations and anti fraud measures that need to be considered. Also Apple and Google have their own rules around crypto. There are probably other considerations that @ecomi_rhys could speak to.
Okay, but I think these things were already known when you decided to communicate the new OUP road map? So why did you mention it if you don't have any solutions? For example, you can have a charter signed which stipulates that Ecomi and Veve disclaim all responsibilities when we pay in OMI or leave in OMI, which only allows users to be punished if there is fraud. Fraud exists in all sectors and this does not prevent companies from avoiding their responsibility (banks, purchase resale sites, etc.) Thank you for responding so quickly. On Twitter we are not listened to at all.
No problem. I understand everyone’s frustration. To your point - it’s not just the recent unexpected changes in the industry - FTX has thrown everything under the spotlight - some of the partners we integrate with have either exited the industry, changed their APIs and tools etc. it’s a fast-moving space as I’m sure you’re aware. I don’t speak for the specific team managing this but I know we want to build robust solutions that are hardened against these sorts of changes (remember when we had to pull Payout temporarily due to a partner issue). So I am urging the team to communicate but I also understand why they are taking their time to get the solutions as right as they can.
