Chainlink is primarily known for providing oracle services. recently, Chainlink introduced the CCIP feature for cross-chain communication, which resembles something like Polkadot's XCM offering. however, it's not exactly the same thing, as Polkadot XCM is primarily for native cross-chain communication within the Dotsama ecosystem Moonbeam, on the other hand, is more of a smart contract platform designed for building multichain connected applications. this means that Moonbeam's scope is broader than Chainlink's. Chainlink, with CCIP, primarily offers bridge services. Moonbeam provides tools for building blockchains, and developers on Moonbeam can utilize various GMP protocols under the hood, such as Layerzero, Wormhole, Hyperlane, Axelar, XCM, and probably CCIP in the near future
