[@dΣathgripson] yea they happen frequently, also can be accidental in PoS. the real issue in PoS is there is no "difficulty" so you end up doing a lot of trusting when receiving blocks. This is generally "fixed" by requiring extremely high bandwith as a minimum and also requiring a super high staking bond for strong confirmations or for frequent block opportunities.
Okay so the security assumption in PoS are more complex than PoW.
[@dΣathgripson] Yea proof of work security is fairly straight forward, tends to not favor any participant too directly other than pools but thats whats being worked on across the board right now. PoS is more complex and favors stakeholders and staking pools as a fundamental model
I do like that PoW doesn't overly favor early adopters. Like in PoS you make a 1 time coin purchase and from them on you don't need to do any continued work to own that percentage of the security. In PoW security belongs in the hands of the miners that are contributing at any given moment.
