a question that I thought someone in the community could help answer.... So I don't understand what the point of having a DAO is? I own a couple of Affiliate Marketing sites airhockeyzone.com and crueltyfreebelts.com but other than this I haven't been much of a business man in the past. I understand why someone would want an LLC for limited liability protection so that in case they were sued the suer wouldn't be able to get to their personal assets only business assets. I've heard of non-profit and for profit organizations but DAO is new to me. Perhaps someone could help shed light on what a DAO is and why someone or some group of people would even want to form one? I don't understand the use case?
A potential use could be a cooperatively owned fund where all users vote on how the funds are used. The funds are all controlled trustlessly with on chain votes so the coop members dont have to trust a single treasurer to distribute funds
A group of people that don’t know each other can collectively manage funds.
