Is the choice of the Layer 1 set in stone

forever once decided, or could CotiV2 move to Cardano at some point in the future? (I have 0% technical background)

We have no plans to drop the plan for V2 for the foreseeable future.

Well then in my view nobody should be disappointed about the fact that Coti has chosen ETH for the time being and once Cardano shows its full potential everything can be migrated

Sure, but it seems to be a lot of efforts to develop in one direction instead of another. That’s years in planing, and cardano has delivered according to plans in terms of development. So I still wonder why ETH as a platform of choice for COTI?
