the pulse version of HEX?
Ledger is BIP39 compliant, so it supports Ethereum and Pulsechain.
Soz meant Ledger Live app for those that don't want to connect to MM for security reasons
Use Rabby or Aurox if you worry about Consensys doxxing you. Anything is better than Ledger Live.
Not worried about doxing, more worried about the infrastructure which enables connection to MM getting compromised just like the current situation regarding dApps
That "infrastructure" was a connector made by Ledger and using Ledger Live would not help you at all.
So when using Ledger through MM there is no "connect kit" that can be compromised in the future... it's literally just interfacing what tokens you have in the same way ledger live does?
It works just fine using the Ethereum app on the Device... you need anotehr frontend like Rabby.io / InternetMoney.io or even Metamask anyway to send contract calls
HEX contract address: 0x2b591e99afe9f32eaa6214f7b7629768c40eeb39 8 decimals.
Yes im just scared to connect the ledger to anything other than live app
That depends solely on the dApps you connect to ... go,hex, PulseX and our bridge were never vulnerable to todays attack
go.hex.com is now more decentralized and offers IPFS links & community created versions of the staking interface as well as a downloadable HEX Server to run the website yourself. Follow the instructions on go.hex.com or watch the video guides below. Note: Users may get security warnings when accessing these IPFS sites, which is normal. More details and video guides here: https://t.me/hexsettings/45
thousands of us have been using MM with it for yeats... many are migrrating to rabby (or others) for better UX now
Not planning on connecting to dApps. Task is to simply be able to access pHex.
no worries then
Today's hack was of the wallet connector code made by Ledger and malicious code introduced in their Gitlab by what appears to be an ex-employee or an imposter of him. The connector is used by some frontends. Nothing to do with wallet software.
