package delivery drivers and old fashioned 2FA forms?
Anyone that has a good phone and lives in North america
Idk if you're counting iMessage as texts proper but iPhone users are completely beholden lol
I don't consider iPhone good phones
My wife is loyal to an iphone. I compare hers to my much cheaper Samsung and I just don't understand. It's silly
Yep apple you always pay twice as much for a comparable competitor. There new custom silicone is impressive but would rather have a thread ripper if willing to pay that much.
Almost every piece of media I've made for Digibyte has been made on a $100 Walmart Samsung and it's just about all in the phone still. It's getting slower but I could clean it up and be back to the races again
Few people call me anymore, Leroy. Even with my business, I'll get that first initial contact as a call but from there on out it is usually a text.
Outside of North America most people don't text. What's App and other apps are much more popular. Apple phones absolutely suck for tex ironically in the US and Canada this has gotten a lot of people to switch to Apple so they can use iMessage instead of switching to a phone that doesn't intentionally make text suck.
No doubt. I live in a rural area so while at home there is no cell signal and our phones work through the wifi, or mine does. Anyone can txt or call me through wifi. Hers is supposed to but doesn't. She usually Facebook messages me if she is home.
There’s nothing to understand. iPhone loyalists just decided iPhone is better without any valid points to back it up 😅
That is my takeaway as well 🤷♂️
I think it all comes down to very efficient marketing and exposure in films and other media. Apple products, especially in North America was kind of the thing everyone looked to be having. In Sweden you can see it in higher paid professions as well, over here it’s somehow a status thing and there are absolutely no arguments why for example iPhone and Mac are better, it’s just “oh but your device is bad <insert rumor> way”
Literal texts or a messaging app as an alternative? People typically don't call anymore here either, that's something from older generations. Everyone uses WhatsApp here. That having said, I'm not a fan of iPhone and overpriced and limited Apple products as well. Though the Samsung alternatives (phones, tablets, smart TVs, etc.) that I always sworn by have gotten worse as well. I bought a new TV last month, and to use any app you need Samsung's 'Smart Hub'. For newer TVs you can't even complete the setup process and enable Smart Hub unless you tick the checkbox to agree to Samsung collecting a whole lot of information about you.
Just straight up text messaging through the cell service
