fpis conversion to fxs at market rate is already a huge win for FPIS holders.

Imagine a merge doesn't happen? Good luck with your FPIS then, you cannot sell any size. The liquidity is 1.2M. mcap is 44M. Where is your exit?

A conversion to fxs at market rate is still a loss to current fxs holders since fpi is not bringing in much revenue at all. But it would be ethical to not a abandon fpis holders.

My brother in frax, I am your local FXS whale. I could buy up a fuckton of FPIS right now and just push the premium conversion as well. It is unethical, hence why I will not.

Market pricing is also the most fair price mechanic for acquisition. Duration for taking average can be discussed. FPIS say FPIS is undervalued. FXS holders say FXS is undervalued. So market pricing is needed.

but why you put any support to this merge? reasonable bail out to fpis from fxs? why we are in crypto? fail is fail, let us accept that. fpis is an separated project.

Oh I care about the price, which is why diluting FXS to such an extent for such a minor acquisition is long term not beneficial to the ecosystem. It’s a net negative any way you see it. We should acquire FPIS as a token of good faith, but at a valuation that makes logical hence. That’d be a lot closer to 8:1 than 1:1 though.

It would be an ethical thing to do to give fpis holders the chance to convert into fxs at market rate so they are not stuck with 1 product. I don't see the need to do it either other than it being a bit easier to have all products under 1 token again. Fxs is fine without fpi. Fpis is not fine without frax eco.
