general access specifically, since CCIP is currently live in production and a number of projects are using it. Can anybody help me understand the obsession with GA? Whatre the assumptions there.
for me two things 1. CCIP was initially supposed to launch more than 2 years ago, after various delays we’re here in a hyper limited EA phase where some lanes literally don’t have a single token whitelisted. Calling it live is generous. I think many just want to see this dev milestone actually reached 2. Yea I expect an increase in activity when access isn’t gated, for example one of the top CCIP users (renzo protocol) literally hasn’t even announced they’re using CCIP yet - presumably it’s all testing. They just this week announced using price feeds If dapps literally just running tests are topping the CCIP use charts, I pray to allah that GA ushers in greater use
However: 1. Even if it will happen in 2030 CL will still be bullying the crypto market in terms of adoption. 2. The price might be increasing or not, depending on different factors, not just ccip. But, we can all agree that at that point the buy pressure for the token will increase.
Makes sense, I think your reasoning is likely more thoughtful and nuanced than most for the record
also complaining is fun ;) it’s a tradition here in the link community
Not obsessed, but GA means permissionless, which is one of the goals, no?
Confirmed GA delay boys, already cranking up the copium fumes
"They need to keep the price down otherwise banks wont buy link"
The obsession is they think it is what is going to move the needle on the chart and they are desperate, they wouldn't care about GA at all if the token was already pumping sufficiently based on their arbitrary timeframe (emotions).
