possible to swap it to ASI AFTER the merge? Or even sell Ocean after the merge?

If you have your $OCEAN on MetaMask or somewhere outside of an exchange, you can decide whether to keep your $OCEAN or exchange it for $ASI in 50 years, it's up to you.

at least this is good news because I have to hodl ocean for more thatn 6 months to become tax free. Would there still be a trading pair for Ocean like OCEAN/USDT or must I swap it to ASI in order to sell it?

Arbitrageurs (people who take advantage of price differences between exchanges to keep the price in balance) make sure you can swap $OCEAN on a DEX at a fair price or hold for 7 months and then swap into $ASI because you don't lose value.

it’s only about the new max supply of 2.6b but not when this kicks in. A majority of new coins have a locked supply but the article doesn‘t provide any info about this
