Agreed; this is why we no longer add any additional language channels. Additionally we have found they often don’t work well, and cause the overall community to become fragmented, and make it easier for misinformation to be spread. It’s far better that we focus on as few groups as possible. Given this, we won’t be creating a French community.

I'm not a native speaker either and wished my native language was the one that is widely used for international communication. Ideally, translation tools would be perfect and we don't need learn an extra language that is "standard". However, we don't live in a perfect world and, given the decentralized and global nature of crypto, English is used (as in the academic world). What I'm trying to say is, I guess, that I totally get why they're asking about it and that I wouldn't blame them at all!! However, the most simple and easy way is to go on with English (on top of the other reasons Jamie mentioned). Lucky those who don't have to learn it! 😄
