Some of us are that old. And bought the bread. And still remember how thin it was. Not unpleasant, just thin.
😂Reminds me of my Gran. She always bought it. Cause it was healthy 🤣 For some reason I always found that advert fascinating as a kid
Looking back at old TV ads thru the decades you can see the slow decline from "inspired" to "crap". Same is true of music. True gems still appear but with increasing rarity.
I never knew this bread since it was not sold here, but what was so special about it in it’s recipe that it was ”lighter” than others?
Absolutely. My teenage years I was listening to Zappa and Beefheart, The Stranglers Steve Hackett, Electric Light Orchestra. Kate Bush etc Music was different from that era. More creative.
Right on. All by design. Dumbing down the masses works
Captain Beefheart is mental innit? This book is gonna blow your f head off https://www.amazon.co.uk/Weird-Scenes-Inside-Canyon-Laurel/dp/1909394122
I was a weird kid... but not weird enough to actually read ingredients back then. But it was so thin it almost fell apart in my mouth. Forget about trying to spread anything on it! Like a lot of "slimming" foods they were literally giving you less to eat.
It’s like with carbon parts. The thinner they are and the less the weight is, the more expensive it is.
